London Layover Private Tours with a Private Tour Guide and Driver

Make the most of your layover in London with a private tour from Heathrow or Gatwick, Southampton or Portsmouth.

With a layover of at least 6 hours, it is possible to see some of England. Please see our packages below for layovers at London Heathrow Airport (LHR). These are suggestions and other options may be possible depending on the timing of your flights.

You need a minimum layover of 6 hours to enjoy one of our tours. We will take you back to the airport around 2 hours 30 minutes before your next flight departs. Your driver will be waiting for you in arrivals with a sign.

We offer both taxi overview tours (no entries inside the sights) and tours with a guide + driver (with entries inside the sights).

Layover Under 6 Hours

We cannot offer you a layover tour if there are less than 6 hours between your flights.

Option 1: London Layover Tour with Guide and Driver (6 Hours between flights) - Windsor Castle Trip

– 40 minutes to clear immigration
– 20 minute Drive to Windsor
– Tour Castle with your guide (approx 2 hours)
– Drive to Heathrow
– Arrive at Heathrow 2.5 hours before your flight takes off

Until 28 February 2026: £1020 for 2 people + £60 per extra person.
From 1 March 2026: £1070 for 2 people + £65 per extra person.

Pricing includes admission tickets. Tours for larger groups are available.

Option 2: London Layover Tour (8 Hours between flights) - Central London Overview

With Taxi Driver-Guide (overview only, driver not licensed to enter sights)
Until 28 February 2026: £690 for 2 people + £25 per extra person, up to 6 people. Extend this by an extra hour for £100 extra.
From 1 March 2026: £730 for 2 people + £25 per extra person, up to 6 people. Extend this by an extra hour for £100 extra.
With Licensed Guide PLUS Driver
Until 28 February 2026: £1005 for 2 people + £25 per extra person, up to 6 people.
From 1 March: £1055 for 3 people + £25 per extra person, up to 6 people.

Option 3: London Private Layover Tour (10 Hours between flights) - Central London with a tour inside 1 sight

– 50 minutes drive to central London
– 3 Hour Highlights panoramic tour of the city with photo stops
– Enjoy a 2-hour highlights tour inside one sight such as the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Churchill War Rooms or St Paul’s Cathedral
– Drive to Heathrow
– Arrive at Heathrow 2.5 hours before your flight takes off

Option 4: London Private Layover Tour (12 to 14 Hours between flights) - Central London with tours inside 2 sights

London Layover Private Tour Example Itinerary:

– 40 minutes to clear immigration
– 50 minutes drive to central London
– A total of 7 hours in central London includes a Highlights panoramic tour of the city with photo stops and tours inside 2 of the main sights such as the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Churchill War Rooms and St Paul’s Cathedral
– Drive to Heathrow
– Arrive at Heathrow 2.5 hours before your flight takes off

Pricing:
With Licensed Guide PLUS Driver:
Until 28 February 2025: £1540 for 2 people + £90 per extra person, up to 6 people.
From 1 March 2025: £1590 for 2 people + £105 per extra person, up to 6 people.
Pricing includes admission tickets.

Other airports and cruise terminals:
Layovers at Gatwick Airport can also be accommodated. Please note that you will need a longer layover as the airport is further from central London. Layovers from Southampton and Portsmouth cruise terminals are also possible. We also offer a transfer service if you need to get between 2 London airports as part of the layover tour.
