How about a morning enjoying the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace with your private London tour guide? Next, tour Westminster and see Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and hear about the WW2 history of Churchill’s War Rooms.
After having lunch (why not stop at a pub with 500 years of history?), visit the oldest part of London (‘The City of London’) with St Paul’s Cathedral and Tower of London. Or visit Greenwich with your Private Guide – see the Prime Meridian, the Naval Museum and the stunning waterside location. This is just one example of how you can set out your day.
Our chauffeured London car tours include a private tour guide, plus a separate driver. Save yourself the walking with door-to-door service and enjoy private, air-conditioned, luxury transportation in a large Mercedes vehicle. If you prefer to tour London with a private guide on foot, see our one day London walking tour.
Relax! We’ll meet you – at your hotel, apartment, rental, or friend’s house. Flying into London or arriving on a cruise? We can meet you at the airport or cruise terminal taking the hassle out of transfers (additional charge applies). Alternatively, we can meet you anywhere else in central London.
This is a fully customisable tour, but if you’re unsure we can help. Why not take in the famous Changing the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Stroll around the palace district and see St James Palace and Clarence House too. Then enjoy beautiful St James Park before arriving at Parliament Square, home to Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and much more.
Along the way, your guide will let you know all about the most royal of royal families, and maybe even share a secret or two. Plus, on days that the Changing of the Guard takes place, we will have you in the best position for the Changing the Guard ceremony – well away from the crowds but yet still in the action.
We give you two options of tour guides – London city guides who do not guide inside the sights, and Blue Badge qualified guides who can take you inside London’s major monuments. If you opt for a Blue Badge guide then we can take you inside your chosen sights (often with dedicated fast entry) such as Westminster Abbey, Churchill War Rooms, British Museum and/or the National Gallery.
If you opt for a half-day tour (3.5 to 4 hours), then we can show you inside one of London’s major sights in this time. On a longer tour (7 to 8 hours), we can see up to 3 major sights.
So, we’ve had a fantastic morning exploring the sights – now it’s time to explore London’s culinary scene. Fancy a pub that’s over 350 years old, a food market, a quick sandwich and coffee break or a restaurant? Let us know and we’ll make it happen. Travel to your lunch spot in comfort in your private, air-conditioned vehicle.
You’ve had a satisfying and delicious lunch and are ready to see more. Remember, this is a custom tour so this itinerary is only an example. We could explore Greenwich together and see the Prime Meridien, or explore the financial district called ‘The City of London’ and home to St Paul’s Cathedral. Or, for the ultimate day out why not explore the Tower of London and get to see the incredible Crown Jewels.
Opt for a London city guide for external views of these sights, or a Blue Badge guide to enter inside the sights with your guide for a full guided experience.
After a fantastic day exploring the city, it is time to say goodbye to your private London tour guide. Your driver will take you to your destination of choice within central London as your guide entertains you along the way. If you want to relax, we can drop you off at your hotel or apartment. If you fancy some shopping, how about a stop at Harrods? Or if you want to keep exploring further, let us know where you want to go and we’ll make it happen.
If you are on a London layover tour from Heathrow Airport or Gatwick Airport, we’ll take you right back for your flight. Or, if you are here on a private London cruise layover tour, we can take you back to Plymouth, Southampton, Dover, Tilbury or other ports near London.
I can’t say enough good things. If you’re on the fence for any reason, be it price, timing, or anything else, put those concerns out of your mind and book this tour today. Request Jasmin if you can – both she and Gio will go out of their way to make your tour perfect.
I can’t say enough great things about this tour. Our guide, Gio, was extraordinary and so knowledgeable about British history and culture. He tailored our tour to meet the interests of the adults and teens in our party. The tour was worth every penny and we’ll do it again on our next trip because there’s just so much to see and learn. Thanks to Gio and our driver, Shorof!! Cheers from the States 🙂
Gio treated 3 of us (USA Southern ladies 65ish) to an informative, well planned 6 hrs tour of London. We were picked up and dropped off on time at our hotel. Shorof was our driver in a comfortable Mercedes touring car. Gio taught us London history as we drove from place to place all over London. I was determined on my second visit to London, to have a knowledgeable guide so I wouldn’t spend half my time figuring out how to get somewhere and have someone to answer my questions. Gio was all that and more. He asks your interests via email and gives you a bespoke tour.We were interested in tasting unique English food so he made breakfast at Fortnum and Mason and lunch at the oldest pub in London literally a food tour combined with our historical tour of London. This is the perfect way to learn about this city. Gio is a native of London, has nine years experience, is well traveled, and professional. What else can I say…. book this tour if you can afford it. Gio also advised us on how and what we want to see when we are on our own for two days.
My family and I really enjoyed this tour with our tour guide Gio! Gio was very knowledgeable and was able to adjust the route of the tour to include things that my family and I wanted to see. He was friendly and easy to talk to and allowed us to ask many many questions! We started the tour with Buckingham Palace then went to see the changing of the horse guards, Parliament Square, and Westminster Abbey. We then went to the Notting Hill Area which is beautiful and quaint famous for its bright colored houses and antique stores! We finished the tour with the Princess Diana memorial that my mom had requested to see as well as viewing Kensington Palace and gardens. We had an amazing day with Gio in London!
