Our day London walking tour begins with a pick-up from your location of choice (hotel, apartment, etc.) with a flexible pick-up time in central London. We can also meet you elsewhere in central London.

This tour features a fully customisable itinerary. See London’s major sights or hidden secrets, witness unique ceremonies and your guide will amaze you with some of the city’s amazing stories.

On a full-day tour, you can see all of London’s major landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, London Bridge and more.

This is a walking tour, so you will explore London on foot and use the underground and bus system to explore the city authentically. Learn how to use this system with your guide – or hop in a black London taxi cab.

This tour includes the option to enter the sights or enjoy a panoramic tour of London. If you want to enjoy London from the River Thames, we can also take a river cruise with your guide for a small extra charge.

On a full-day tour, we can have lunch in a 350-year-old pub, enjoy exploring a food market or any other lunch option.

Plus, end your tour at a place convenient to you: your hotel, a nice bar or pub, a shopping centre, the theatre or anywhere else in central London.

Jo was our tour guide for three different tours (Hampton Court, The Tower of London, and Westminster Abbey).  We enjoyed all of the tours, and definitely learned/noticed things we would not have if we had done these on our own.  Jo was an excellent tour guide — very knowledgeable and easy going. Chris was our tour guide when we visited Hampton Court, and he was fantastic. His knowledge went far beyond the parts of the palace you normally see, he knew the stories, history, and fascinating details about areas most visitors would never even know about. Highly recommend London Private Tours - was wonderful from the planning to the execution and so many happy wonderful memories. Guide had wit and geared it to the 5 tween/teens and also answered our more in-depth questions too from Westminster Church to the Tower  and tied in everything so well. As I was searching for a private tour guide in London that included car service, I came across Private London Tours. From the very beginning, Gio made the experience feel personal, and communication was always easy and responsive. It felt like working with a family-run business rather than a large corporate company. He patiently answered all of my questions, and I knew we had chosen the right company.

Our group consisted of nine people, ranging from children as young as 8 years old to older adults. The tour was thoughtfully planned to match our group’s pace, making sure everyone was comfortable with the walking between sites.

We were fortunate to have Catherine R. as our guide, and she was absolutely wonderful. She took us to every place on our must-see list, and we were able to check off everything we had hoped to experience. Her knowledge of London was incredible, and she brought the city’s history to life with fascinating stories. She also made the tour especially memorable for the kids by sharing fun and engaging stories that kept them interested throughout the day.

Geo was responsive and I always appreciate that! He helped us set up exactly what we wanted. Charlotte was our guide and she was amazing as well! She made sure our day was spent as we wished. We chose where we went and how long we stayed. I loved that she asked what type of information we wanted wanted to hear - history, facts, fun stories - at each location. I booked two London tours with Private London Tours - one of the Tower of London and one full day tour that included a visit to Westminster Abbey and a private VIP tour inside the Churchill War Rooms. Both tours were fabulous! Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and shared fun facts for both adults and kids. The war rooms are a definite must! I can't recommend this company enough.
