Itinerary

MorningTravel to Stonehenge

Meet your guide at your central London hotel, apartment or other location. Journey to Stonehenge in our spacious, air-conditioned Mercedes van. Hear about how London differs from the countryside as you enjoy the stunning landscape.

MorningStonehenge

Arrive at Stonehenge and witness why this is a must-see on anyone’s itinerary to England.

Your guide will help you uncover Stonehenge’s story – who built Stonehenge and why? how old is it? and how did it get here?

Late MorningDrive to Salisbury and Lunch

Next, it’s a quick drive to the city of Salisbury.

Stop for a spot of lunch with recommendations from your guide. Whether it’s a restaurant or pub, sandwich stop or fresh street food, we’ll make sure your dietary requirements and desires are catered for.

AfternoonSalisbury

Start your time in Salisbury with a walking tour with your guide, seeing the area around the Cathedral.

Tour the inside of Salisbury Cathedral. Discover this breathtaking 13th-century church home to the tallest church spire in the UK, one of the world’s oldest working clocks, the cloisters and the best-preserved copy of the Magna Carta (1215). The Cathedral is a must-see on any visit to the UK.

Please note the Cathedral cannot be visited on Sundays, and some religious dates.

Late AfternoonTravel back to London

Drive back to London and end your tour at your hotel, apartment or even a restaurant. We can also end this tour at Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport, Southampton, Tilbury or Portsmouth for an additional charge.

Our guide Alex was fabulous! Energetic, bright, and engaging. Stonehenge is a must visit and the private tour was perfect for our family. No waiting in long lines, no bus rides etc. after Stonehenge we traveled to a few quaint small villages. We were able to have lunch in a 700 year old pub.

Gavin at Private London Tours was the best he really knows history and was so very nice to 2 senior citizens. We spent 3+ days with him, well worth the money he catered to every need and made our visit to London a terrific experience. If you are going to London, Gavin at Private London Tours is definitely the guy you want as your guide, very professional and kind. Generous with his time and tuned in to the client’s needs. I am sure we will use his services again.
